Interested in joining our chapter?The Iota Gamma chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia accepts new members during both Fall and Spring semesters each year. Rushing occurs during the first few weeks of the semester. Scheduled events during this period consist of a variety of musical and social events where potential members can meet the brothers and learn more about the chapter and its activities.
Detailed rush schedules can be found under the Events tab as well as around the music buildings or by speaking with any active chapter member. Typical rush events include pick-up sports at the marching band field, musical video game night, free pizza social, going to a baseball game in Cedar Rapids, bowilng, mini-golf, and a rush recital.
At the end of the rush period, there is an informal interview with the chapter where potential members can ask any additional questions about the organization. Letters of invitation are delivered the same week, asking the qualified man to continue toward full membership.
